Product of a Crash

National Product are alive and well, but a little shaken from a recent van crash.  Singer Danny Casler says that while driving to Calgary last Friday the group started to smell what they thought were the brakes of the semi in front of them burning.  But instead it was their own vehicle, which began fishtailing before slamming still in motion toward the pavement.  "We thought our tire blew," says Casler.  "That's when we looked out the window, still skidding 150 yards toward a ravine/stream and light pole, and we saw our tire on fire rolling past us."  Eventually the van came to a stop with the brakewell in flames, and the band exited the vehicle as quickly as possible.  Casler offers a hearty thank you to Pabst Blue Ribbon for their beer helping put out the fire, as well as Canadian Tire for their assistance and their fans from Calgary and Edmonton who helped with money to get the boys through the situation.  National Product's debut album, "Luna," hits stores August 7th.  The band is still on tour despite losing their vehicle.
